The Parent Orientation Program is an excellent opportunity for parents to become familiar with the University. University of Minnesota Parenting Resources
The University of Minnesota Extension Service develops programs that foster the effective parenting of children and youth, with an emphasis on positive parenting for children birth to young adulthood, divorce issues, violence prevention, and other information to help understand the complex social issues facing families today.

Minnesota Higher Education Services Office
The Services Office offers a variety of free events and presentations as well as publications for parents, students, and professionals on preparing and paying for education beyond high school.

Shoulder to Shoulder
A new website with practical solutions to issues facing parents of adolescents. The purpose of Shoulder to Shoulder is to support parents of teens by providing them with real advice about how to navigate the teen years.

Teen Talk
The Teen Talk fact sheet series is designed to help parents talk with teens about challenging topics, including: alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, school, peer pressure, bullies, sports, employment, dating, and parties. Young people today are faced with many hard decisions. Teen Talk is designed to help parents in supporting their teens to make healthy, responsible choices.

Teen Link
Teen-Link was developed as a means for educators and other professionals, parents, teachers, youth and anyone working with adolescents or interested in adolescent development to obtain quick access to variety of resources, both academic and practical, addressing teen issues. This database might be used to learn more about an issue or answer questions, to provide guidance in negotiating issues, or to help guide program development. Abstracts are included with most of the materials. The resources included in this database have all been reviewed and are constantly being updated in order to represent the best of what\'s out there.

College Parent Magazine
Dedicated to providing parents of college and college-bound students complete and reliable information about important issues such as financial aid, admissions, campus life, and much, much more.
