Contract Probation Students

Now that you are readmitted, you will be held to an academic contract for your first semester back. There are a several things that can happen when on contract:

  • You could fulfill the terms of the contract, and be off contract and off probation entirely (if both GPAs are above 2.0).
  • You could fulfill the terms of the contract, but still be on probation (because your cumulative GPA is still below 2.0).
  • You could be dismissed, because you did not fulfill the terms of the contract

Contract Student To Do List

  1. Make 3 appointments with your advisor - review Advisor Appointment Guidelines
  2. Fill out Contract Self-Assessment
  3. Fill out Contract Student Grade Verification Form
  4. Fill out Semester Planning Worksheet

When should I do this?

  • Make your first appointment before the start of the semester for which you are being readmitted.
  • Make your second appointment near midterm or the 6th week of the semester.
  • Make your third appointment before you register, after the 11th week of the semester
  • Remember to prepare for your appointment by completing the all forms above!
